Granpuff Thomas way made in 1879 and his real name is Duke the Lost Engine. He word with Smudger who would jokingly say engines come and engines go but Granpuff is going on for ever. After the railway shutdown in 1947 old Granpuff placed in the lines end shed at Arlesdale Sheds and was lost away from everyone there he fell asleep.
