Thomas and friends James train the red engine

Thomas and friends James train is a great-hearted but boastful red engine.

When Jim began working on the steam rail line in Sodor, really splendid James the engine was painted the colour black and had defective leaky brakes, this caused him to fall of the railway line, pore James train was embarrassed and blushing that he had been derailed.

Edward the blue engine and James friends came to help him back onto the tracks, after this mishap had happened he was taken for fixing in the Sodor steamwork train shed and given a shinny new coat of red paint.


From that great day on Sodor Island he has been called Thomas and friends James red engine. Now tank engine James train is well-pleased with his latest sparkling ruby red finish and a big yellow number 5 painted on his steam boiler tender coal box.

The two Sodor characters Thomas tank engine James train and small Percy train both like to make fun of the mainline fast express-train Gordon the tank engine and big green Henry train saying that they are better steam railway locomotives.
