Thomas and friends Henry James and Gordon the big blue express engine were really miserable they had been shut up in the wooden railway shed for several days for being disobedient and longed to be let out again to race and chase along the tracks.
At last the Fat Controller arrived at Thomas and his friends Tidmouth sheds I hope you're sorry the Fat Controller said furthermore Henry and James train must understand that you are not so important after all.
On the Island of Sodor railway lines we have a new steam tank engine called Percy the train engine who helps pull the passenger coachers in addition to this Thomas and Edward the blue tank engine have worked the mainline nicely.
But I will let you Henry James and Gordon the tank engine out the Sodor roundhouse now if you guarantee to be good and really useful engine.

The Fat Controller then tolled Edward the train Percy and Thomas the tank engine friends, that you hardworking 3 Thomas and friends little engines could run away for a short holiday brake and play on the country village branchline tracks for a couple of days rest.
So Edward Thomas and Percy the train ran away to find the passenger carrying duo Annie and Clarabel wooden trains coaches at the railway track junction.
At the goods yard Thomas the tank engine Annie and Clarabel coaches were all so pleased to see each other again.
In the freight transport yard, old blue royal Edward and Percy the tank engine played with railway shipment trucks, stop-stop creamed the Island of Sodor railway trucks as they were pushed neatly into there proper sidings.
But the two Island of Sodor engines Edward and Percy the small engine laughed and kept on shunting until all the goods trucks were smartly arranged.
Leaving the station sidings Thomas the train Annie and Clarabel coaches set off on there journey.
Next Edward the blue tank engine did take some of the empty slate truck to Mavis the diesel at the Sodor quarry yard.
Now Thomas and friends Percy the tank engine was left alone, he didn't mind that a bit, he like train watching also being cheeky to the other large engines, hurry-hurry he would call to Henry and James, making these Thomas and friends big engines very cross with him.
After a great deal of coal wagon shunting, Percy the tank engine was waiting on the Gordon passenger express line for railtrack the signal man to position the railway track points, so he could leave Wellsworth station bridge and get back home to the main yard.
He was eager to work, but was being rather careless and not paying very much attention.
Thomas the tank engine and Edward the blue tank engine had regularly warned Percy the green engine to be most careful when traveling on the steam express mainline, you should blow loudly your shiny brass whistle to the signal man that you are nearby his box.
But Percy the train didn't remember to blow loudly his steam trumpet whistle, so the busy trainline signal man forgot about him, Percy tank engine waited and waited the railway points and signal light were still against him, so he couldn't move onwards.
Then Percy engine looked along the main track line peep-peep Percy the train scared whistled in horror, for rushing striate towards him was the high speed steam locomotive Gordon the tank engine with the passenger express train coaches.
Ouch groaned the fastest steam locomotive Gordon the big blue express engine get out of my way he shouted, Percy the train engine opened his eyes big Gordon express had stopped with the metal Percy locomotive buffer only a few inches from his own.
But this Thomas and friends Percy the train engine had begun to move running away backwards along the track, I won't stay here I'll run away Percy the tank engine puffed worriedly.
Running away quickly he went all the way striate through King Edward train station and was so frightened that he ran right up the top of the steep Island of Sodor Gordon's hill with slowing or even out stopping on the way.
After that rapid race on the rails he was truly tired but he couldn't stop, he had no cab driver to shutoff steam pipes and to apply his brakes.
I want to stop, I want to stop he puffed nervously, the man in the railway signal box saw that Percy the tank engine was a run away train and in trouble, so kindly the signal man set the track points.
Now Thomas and friends Percy the train engine puffed wearily onto a nice empty siding track, ending in a big bank of earth, he was too tired to care were he went, I want to stop, I want to stop, I have stopped he puffed thankfully.
Never mind Percy train engine said the rail workmen as they dug him out of the earth mound, you shall have a drink of water at the Sodor wash down center plus some new coal nuggets and then you'll feel better once more.
Presently big Gordon the train arrived, well done Percy the green engine you started and ran away so quickly that you stopped a nasty train accident from happening.
I'm sorry I was cheeky Gordon the train said Percy the small engine you were clever to stop in time.
Then Gordon the big blue express locomotive helped with the rescue procedure winching and hauling Percy train engine out from the soft mud bank.
Later on at the Island of Sodor main Knapford station platform Percy Annie and Clarabel coaches were all happily back with Edward James Thomas the tank engine and friends.
To this day, Thomas the tank engine and Percy the green engine are still a cheeky pair too the big locomotives, that's because they are that sort of steam engines!
But green Percy the little train is now most careful when he travels on the main passenger express line.
