In the big old wooden round railway shed the home of Thomas 7 friends Gordon the express, Henry and James the splendid engine, were chatting to Percy the green train standing on the track turntable.
That evening Sir Topham Hatt came to the Tidmouth sheds round-house, he said "I want Thomas and friends Percy the train to collect a flower delivery and some garden bushes for lower Tidmouth station, there at Marthwait station". The Sodor town of Marthwait train Percy the tank engine stuttered, YES-S-S-Sir he added nervously.
Traveling across the misty Island of Sodor, Percy train chuffed along apprehensively through the dark woodland hills foggy nights mist heading for the haunted mine quarry. Suddenly he was some thing moving in the night mist, bouncing buffer cried Thomas and friends Percy the tank engine. The fireman and drive of Percy the train hadn't seen the old smoky chimney stack descending into the ground, the signal changed, and train Percy the small engine was so scared he steamed away as fast as he could.The next day at Sodor Maron station platform tiny Percy train was telling Thomas and friends Donald and Douglas the Scottish twins about the disappearing chimney vanishing in the mist at the haunted mine.
It's the grisly ghastly ghostly gnomes teased Donald the tank engine. Tiny fat-men with big-feet! They make strange happen said Douglas the tank engine. Its famous old story magical legend, they steal your wheels and fill your funnels, just ask Thomas the train haunted Henry the tank engine and his ghost train about the story.
Thomas the tank engine Percy engine didn't want to believe them, about the haunted mine ghostly trick gnome men but he wasn't convinced.Sir Topham Hatt was waiting for him at Dryaw station, I want you to collect some train-shipping freight cars from the abandoned ghostly mine he said. YES Sir Thomas and friends Percy the train answered, but he really didn't want to go there again.
Thomas the train Percy the tank engine hoped he wouldn't see any thing else disappear.
He slipped into the sidings and buffered up to the railway freight cars. Spooky spluttered green great western Percy the tiny train, suddenly another building of the old mine sank into the ground.
What was that shouted his driver! Double-trouble and bouncing buffer screamed Percy the train engine character.
He was so startled he jumped forward and smash into the fright cars, trick ghostly gnomes came out of the box wagon, gnomes cried Percy the green engine.
He steamed away faster than before, racing like a ghost train all the way back to lower Tidmouth station.
Percy's driver told Sir Topham Hatt what they had seen. It's the trick ghostly gnomes cried Percy the green engine, they like to cause trouble its well-known mysterious legend. Magical gobbledygook said Sir Topham Hatt the old buildings are collapsing into the empty mine shafts that's all.
But I saw the mischievous naughty gnomes protested Percy the small engine! Certainly you did, said Sir Topham Hatt flower garden gnomes.
Garden gnomes answered Percy the train! To decorate lower Tidmouth station Sir Topham Hatt said they are not spooky, garden gnomes bring good fortune and he ordered Percy the steam engine to return immediately and get them.
Thomas the train Percy the green engine was worried, bur he knew he had to be responsible so he carried on. I'm not frightened, I'm not scared. He waited for some thing else spooky to happen, but it didn't Sir Topham Hatt was correct the garden gnomes weren't frightening at all.His driver and fireman collected up the garden gnomes and Percy the tank engine tuck them strait back to lower Tidmouth station.
Later that week Thomas the train station master thanked Percy, we wouldn't have won our contest with out your colorful garden gnomes and goblins. Little locomotive Percy the steam train was very proud, you were correct Sir Topham Hatt tricky naughty gnomes can be lucky after all.
